P108 5050 is a smart LED control circuit and light emitting package which also has an external drive interface for driving discrete LEDs. Each lighting element is a pixel, and the intensities of the pixels are driven by the intelligent digital interface input. The output is driven by a PWM signal, which guarantees high consistency of the color of the pixels. The control circuit consists of a signal shaping amplification circuit, a built-in constant current circuit, and a high precision RC oscillator.
The P108 5050 RGB LED is a tri-color LED (Red, Green, and Blue) with an integrated programmable controller using a one-wire interface, and three external drive ports, which are used to drive multiple LEDs in a 12V and 24V configuration. The LED measures 5.5×5.0x1.6mm and consumes 0.3 watts of power in typical usage. The top surface of this LED is white.
Discrete LEDs are shipped in reels of 1,000 pieces.
